The AppJammers were free to create and develop for any existing and established platform from Facebook to iPhone to Blackberry, Android or other recognised platform. The only prerequisite was that the app development is achievable using technology that exists from the start date of the AppJam.
We were looking for original, innovative, unique and exciting ideas that would blow the socks off the conference during the final presentation.
The AppJammers had 48 hours from the start of the event. Within that time they had to complete as much of their App as possible. They needed – at the very least – a polished presentation of what the app does and how it works (considering how it will look, the functionality and the usability for the end user. Plus a cool name…)
The challenge was not to complete a fully working app – however, if they could – then the support was on hand to help achieve it.
