As part of the Interreg funded Creative City Challenge project, Dundee College, along with key project and other industry partners, held a 3 day International App Development Conference. The event took place between the 8th & 10th November 2010 in Dundee, Scotland, as part of the week long NEoN Digital Arts Festival.

This key conference brought together the very best in professional app development from around the North Sea Region. Platform providers, developers and other industry professionals provided industry insight & a wealth of knowledge centred within the app development industry.

The Conference:
The event was open to a range of individuals from established app developers to individuals looking to get into app development, the aim being to provide essential information to assist those who attended in not only developing an App but putting them in contact with the right people to make it happen!

The AppJam:
Running parallel to the main conference was the 48 hour ‘App Jam’ where selected participants had the challenge of developing and presenting their app concept. Participants worked together in small, international, multi-discipline teams to develop original ideas and IP with the aim of releasing any new titles developed, and exploiting routes to market immediately after the event. Supported by industry professionals, the teams were encouraged to help each other out with problem solving and production while sharing their skill set to achieve final publication.
